This distinctive event, which this year will be inspired by the 1980s will have you moon walking to Michael Jackson, mimicking Rick Astley’s quirky shuffle, and unleashing your alter ego as you channel your inner “Eye of the Tiger”.
Alternatively, if you’d rather unwind with friends, soak in the tunes of the DJ and live band, feel free to do so—because at this event, you call the shots on how you like to party!

This encompasses our local Adelaide Women’s & Children’s Hospital’s ‘Starlight Express Room’ and our devoted Captain Starlight superheroes, who spread laughter and joy not only within hospitals but also beyond their walls.

About Starlight

Knowing there is more to treatment than medicine, since 1988 Starlight has partnered with Australian health professionals to develop programs based on positive psychology principles that support the ‘total care’ of our children and teens.
DecAid was created to provide Adelaide’s Gen X & Y community with a milestone charity event, showcasing the best entertainment, food and drink, and a styled venue to simply HAVE FUN and dance the night away. At the same time, you’ll learn a little more about the amazing work that Starlight does and contribute to the programmes that make a huge difference to the lives of kids who really need our support.

Granting the wishes of seriously ill children lies at the heart of Starlight’s mission. From the moment a child is told their Starlight Wish is to be granted, the excitement begins. Dreaming, planning and talking about the wish is a great distraction from treatment and surgery. It’s the light at the end of the tunnel that lifts spirits and brings families together.
Our goal is to fund 10 wishes for Starlight through DecAid, either leading up to the event, or on the night. Can you help us achieve our goal?
Can you assist by donating auction or raffle items to raise much needed funds for Starlight?
